Salvo Day Use Area
Salvo Day Use Area is a popular kiteboarding location in the Outer Banks. The parking area is huge, it has restrooms and showers and plenty of space on the Pamlico Sound. This location even has picnic tables and grills and is perfect by yourself or with the family. The water in the Pamlico sound is relatively shallow in most places for 100’s of meters out which keeps it flat with small chop. This is a great beginner spot or a place to practice some of your advanced tricks.
Watch out for stickers in the grass that can puncture your kite – its best to set up on the sand!
